Iffath Hoskins

Dr. Iffath A. Hoskins, an OB/GYN at in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, is a Maternal Fetal Medicine specialist. She received her training at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, MD which includes National Naval Medical Center, Walter Reed Army Medical Center & Andrews Air Force Base. She spent 29 years with the Medical Corps of the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps (11 years active duty, 18 years Reserves). During her military career, she received seven awards for leadership and retired as Colonel in 2007. 

After serving as Co-Director of the Medical Genetics Fellowship at NIH, she joined NYU Langone Medical Center in 1987 and held leadership positions at Bellevue including Chief of Obstetrics, Director of Research, Director of High Risk Ob Clinics, Director of PDU. In addition, she did private practice at Tisch Hospital from 1994 to 2001. From 1997 to 2012, she was Chairman and Residency Program Director in three OB/GYN Departments. Her 74 publications are in obstetric infections and clinical obstetrics. She has served in the leadership of ACOG, SMFM & SRI. She has received five awards in Education from APGO & CREOG. She returned to NYU Langone Medical Center in 2013 as Director of Patient Safety & Quality in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, where she remains today. Dr. Hoskins specializes in high-risk pregnancies, including recurrent miscarriage, multiple pregnancies, genetic counseling, caesarean section (C-section) delivery, obstetric ultrasound. She also does general checkups for patients.
