Marcy Franklin

From the grand state of Colorado, I’ve followed my heart out to the East Coast to pursue a career in journalism. Along the way, I fell into a pattern of bad habits: pulling all-nighters, binge-eating late at night, and choosing an extra hour of sleep instead of a workout. It wasn’t until an internship at a natural health magazine (Natural Solutions, in Boulder) that forced me to evaluate my own health report card. Since then, I’ve used my reporting skills to learn the most holistic, natural ways to improve my daily choices. Little by little, I'm turning my health around and finding that I actually enjoy yoga, kale salads, and the use of Reiki. When I’m not attempting to master the Crane pose, you can most likely find me reading, exploring my new city, or indulging in a marathon of 30 Rock.My most troublesome weakness is… Mexican food — nothing satisfies my craving for all things spicy like an enchilada or bowl of green chile.I’m looking forward to learning more about… Most people hear “natural” or “holistic” and immediately assume it’s a load of crap. My goal is to uncover what holistic and natural remedies actually work, and how you can incorporate them into your own life — minus the stigma. I’ve embraced my inner hippy; let me help you embrace yours!
